But DAC asked you to contact EGA based on your original post. Unless I am missing something isn't this circular logic?
Hi community,
I am trying to make an application to get access to a dataset on the EGA database. Unfortunately, it is not clear based on the database instruction where to start such an application. They posted here to contact the Data Access Committee (DAC) to get you access to their files. After sending emails back and forth to the DAC, I was told that I have to put my application through EGA , which makes sense. But I could not figure out how to do that: where to go on the website to create an account, filling an application form and etc. Sharing your experience or giving any hints on this is highly appreciated.

I am replying to my post with the feedback I got from the EGA help desk:
Please, be informed that in order to download data within the EGA you first need to contact the Data Access Committee (DAC) of the dataset asking to gain access to download. Then, if the DAC agrees, they need to request the helpdesk team to create a download account for you.
For security reasons a directly request/confirmation from DAC is needed in order to grant access to their data.
yes, it seems like circular logic! So far I feel that getting files from EGA is not that straightforward, compared to dbGaP! If I succeed, I would update this post.
