Different types of repeat elements in eukaryotic genomes

There are many different types of repeat sequences and many different meaningful classification systems for them. For instance, we can divide all repeats into "tandem" or "dispersed." We could divide them in terms of amount of repetitiveness, so to speak (e.g. examples of HR might be satellites; while you could pick SINEs/LINES as moderately repetitive.

I have been doing just this for the last few hours. At this point, I wanted to take a step back and ask: "has anyone come across a very good primer on reading and learning about these in a comprehensive fashion?" How can I be sure I haven't left some out?

I'd definitely settle for a good review article. However, bonus points for: 1) interactive resources? 2) comprehensiveness 3) mechanistically driven 4) consideration given to principles of natural selection at play on repeat elements.
