GATK ReadsPipelineSpark RAM per thread

Hi, Biostars community.

Is there some information about the required amout of RAM per thread in GATK ReadsPipelineSpark? I can't see any information about this in the GATK docs, but the researchers in this article used about 6.25 GB of memory per thread - 8 cores / 35G + 15G (off-heap) mem.
