Tool: Local sequence alignment made visual in your browser

Open Bio-Jupiter in your browser

Bio-Jupiter can be a teaching tool and a laboratory friend for geneticists. Bio-Jupiter is a visual implementation for local sequence alignment. Is an open source application designed in native JavaScript, that is able to align two sequences/texts in order to match the regions that are similar. It also contains an option called forced alignment, which allows the initiation of traceback from arbitrary elements of the score matrix (the heatmap). Different interesting experimental designs can be done with it, starting from bioinformatics/genetics to grammar. The application is independent of the internet once it is saved as a html file on the PC/Mobile phone.
