Are monophyletic, paraphyletic, and polyphyletic groups still applicable in an unrooted tree?

I get confused in analyzing the phylogenetic tree that I constructed using MEGA. Are monophyletic, paraphyletic, and polyphyletic groups still applicable in an unrooted tree? Or should I only focus on analyzing their relationships?
