DAVID's EASE Score - parameter in Functional Annotation Clustering

Hi guys,

I'm currently using DAVID to perform GO enrichment analysis, and I'm confused about setting an EASE score to perform Functional Annotation Clustering. According to NATURE's publication (https://www.nature.com/articles/nprot.2008.211.pdf), the default cutoff is 0.1, however, the Enrichment Threshold (EASE) in the online platform is set to 1.0. Setting the cutoff to 0.05 or 0.01 will it make my analysis more "strict"? Taking into account that I' m performing the analysis using a set of genes mainly to take a look at the biological processes these genes are involved in, rather than to focus on/study a specific pathway, should I proceed setting a less strict cutoff (eg the default 1.0 that is set on the online platform or the default 0.1 mentioned in the publication??

I 'm attaching the link to this post, as you could probably answer to our memeber @kehoe too. Explaining DAVID's 0.1 EASE Score

Thank u in advance!
