The role:

The main purpose of this role will be to provide project management support to internal and externally funded COVID-19 activities (e.g ELIXIR-CONVERGE and forthcoming grants) including the preparedness for COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. A lot of this work will relate to the hugely successful COVID-19 Data Portal, led by the EMBL-EBI and ELIXIR amongst others. These activities are expected to last until 31/8/2024 in alignment with the anticipated duration of Horizon Europe emergency calls.

What is ELIXIR?

ELIXIR essentially acts as a network to connect those creating bioinformatics resources, including training together to remove improve efficiency, create standards and guidelines for handling the vast amounts of publicly-funded research data. ELIXIR coordinates, integrates and sustains bioinformatics resources across its member states and enables users in academia and industry to access services that are vital for their research.
