The Institute for Genomic Medicine (IGM) at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is creating a future that uses the latest technological advances in genome sequencing to help diagnose and treat kids with cancer and other rare genetic diseases.

This role is for a front-end developer in the Wagner laboratory. Lead the development of compelling, intuitive, and thoughtful user centric digital experiences in genomic variant interpretation. Implement current design trends and usability best practices across multiple platforms and interfaces. Join our interdisciplinary team of content strategists, designers, developers, and stakeholders.

It is expected that the individual in this position will possess strong software design and web app development abilities, particularly with modern front-end development frameworks for complex single-page apps. The individual should enjoy solving complex problems and have a desire to make an impact in medical research and patient care. This role will drive development of novel and performant web tools for the analysis and interpretation of genomic variation data. The individual will also participate in related discussions, group meetings and progress reports for stakeholders at IGM.
