Does STAR index needs to be regenerated if I change program version?
Hi all -- my question is, do I need to regenerate STAR index if I change the STAR program version? Or indexes are compatible across versions? To give a specific example, let's say I have generated index using STAR v2.5.4 on a system, and want to use it with STAR v2.7.2 on a different machine?

There were versions that required re-generation of the index, e.g. when using 2.7.4a.
