GenomeStudio in a cloud service
Hi, Im trying to QC Illumina genotyping data and whilst we have access to a HPC cluster, GenomeStudio presents a huge bottleneck for doing the initial steps of the QC, especially on a laptop with 4 cores and 8gb RAM. Has anyone tried using a cloud-based service such as AWS and if so was it efficient?

If you use a larger cloud based hardware resource then GenomeStudio should work better. You will have to account for "running in cloud" lag based on what kind of internet connection you have and adjust your interactions with GenomeStudio accordingly.
