how to do manual check on retrotransposition insertions with IGV

Hi everyone,

I have some results about potential mobile element insertions in sample genomes generated by MELT. I've seen lots of people doing a manual check on mobile element insertions with IGV in their published papers. But I'm not sure how to do this step.

My current idea is to look at if there are poly(A) tails and TSD, but not sure the exact steps. For example, what's the minimum number of A (or T) for a poly(A) tail and if it's OK to have some base other than A?

I apologies if this is a naive question but any help would be appreciated.
