How to compare enrichment scores?

Hello, I got the enrichment score (ES), using GSEA, from data provided by the Allen brain atlas. The ES is estimated for each pair of brain regions of interest (ROIs), as defined in the Allen.

So, I have 2 ES matrices, one for males and one for females.

Is there a way to compare the ES between males and females, for each pair of ROIs? Like I would do with correlation coefficients using Fisher's transformation?

It would be nice to see two heatmaps of the enrichment scores side-by-side, with the colour breaks set the same, in both cases. In terms of test, would a standard parametric t-test not suffice? You could also calculate fold differences.
