Obtain List Of Small Peptides With Nmr Structure In Tfe And H20

Hello stars,

I am simply trying to obtain a list of small peptides (<50 residues) that have two NMR structures determined, one where the peptide was in TFE solution (or a similar solution that is less-polar than H20) and one where the peptide was in H20.

What could be a reasonably pain-free approach to this? (For instance, a way to search PDB database for only <50 residues)?

Thank you for any advice!

I am especially interested in a situation like this (http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/explore/explore.do?structureId=2MCE), where they report the "solution structure of [the peptide in NMR] in both aqueous and membrane mimetic solvents". But I do not see where I can download the two separate structures of the peptide (one in aqueous solution, the other in MM solvents). After all, there is only one "Download Files" tab at the top-right corner of the screen....

Basically: you need the advanced search feature at the PDB site; the link is at top-left of the home page.

There, you can use all manner of search operators. For example, you can specify maximum length under Sequence Features -> Chain Length.

Thank you Neilfws! If you know, what about trying to find a peptide with determined structures in NMR for both aqueous and less-polar solutions? In the link I provided in my comment to my original post above, does that peptide have two structures, since it seems to report so?
