Taxonomic Assignment For Metaproteomics

Hi all,

I would like to perform a taxonomic assignment of proteins from a metaproteomic analysis. Could anyone point me to some ways to perform that?

My best guess for the process is that you would need to align your reads or proteins with blast then use The MEGAN Metagenome Analyzer to parse and visualize the results.
