Add Simulated 454 Reads To The Fastq File Generated By Sff_Extract For Use With Mira
I created a FASTQ and Traceinfo XML file from a set of .sff files using sff_extract. Now I want to add 454 reads simulated with Mason. But Mason only gives me a FASTQ file, no Traceinfo XML. Is Mira going to complain/mix things up, if it is missing information for these reads in the XML file or can I just append them to the FASTQ file?
I simulated 500.000 400bp long 454 pseudo reads from the contigs of an Illumina assembly.

Maybe ask the Mira mailinglist http://www.freelists.org/list/mira_talk It seems to be quite active and you might even get an answer from the author himself.
