Forum: A Bioinformatics (Crowdsourced) Book
Hi all,
A perennial question in the forum is what books do people recommend. I was wondering who is interested in crowdsourcing a book, and if people know of existing efforts to do so.
I know of the wikibooks initiative. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Bioinformatics Are there others?
I was wondering what from a project management point of view halts progress on these initiatives. Is biostars.org a replacement for a beginners textbook? If not why not create a book for beginners?
