Does The Clustal Omega Multiple Sequence Alignment Tool Incorporate Structure Into The Alignment?

Hi,

Does the Clustal Omega incorporate structure into the alignment (I do not think that it does but I would like to confirm) and if not why is this the case?

Hi amod47463,

no, Clustal Omega does not incorporate structure into the alignment, at least not yet (version 1.1.0).

The answer to the why is relatively simple: because it's not straight-forward and easy to do.
