How is possible to access microbiome data like that found here? I'd like to perform analyses on similar types of data (i.e., microbiome prevalence/frequency data among many different species), but cannot find similar OTU data like that at the Human Biome Project site.
Any leads would be appreciated.

From reading the Science paper describing the MINE program it looks like they had a sample/OTU table. For the HMP data, you can get several versions of those, either done with mothur or QIIME, and looking at different variable regions of the 16S gene.
- For mothur analysis: http://hmpdacc.org/HMMCP/
- For QIIME: http://hmpdacc.org/HMQCP/
They also included metadata like diet in the paper. For the HMP if you want detailed info on the experimental subjects I think you have to request access through dbGaP.
Where can I get the names and the gene sequences of the types of species present in our microbiome
