Folks!

Where can I find public repositories that contain good data for each of the following?

  1. SNP-alleles to gene-expression
  2. gene-expression to protein-levels

Your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I've recently become very interested in the correlation between RNA levels and protein activation (indeed, there doesn't seem to be any), and found some evidence for a low correlation (R<0.4) for any given RNA~protein association - but this review looked at 10 studies (4 cell lines, 6 human in-vivo studies) of specific genes. If there is indeed a database on the expected/observed relationship between RNA and protein, that would be a very valuable resource.

Hi luke,

Can you provide a link or title of the review you mentioned in your comment? Thanks

Hello. The review I am referencing is unpublished (although the author, Nancy Kendrick, does intend on publishing shortly). http://www.kendricklabs.com/WP1_mRNAvsProtein.pdf

I suppose you refer to eQtl database in point 1), if so this post is a good starting point.

Summary:

1) Pritchard lab at Chicago

2) GTEX at NCBI

3) Genevar

4) SCAN DB

Sorry, but I'm not aware of repository about 2)
