SRA TOOLKIT error

Heys,

I'm trying to configure SRA TOOLKITS in a new Mac from my lab and I'm having some issues. When I follow the configuration guidelines (https://github.com/ncbi/sra-tools/wiki/03.-Quick-Toolkit-Configuration) and I try to save them, I get the error "error saving changes" which does not allow me to change the new configuration, being unable to run the fastq-dump function.

Anybody solved this? Thanks in advance!

How did you install it? Do you have writing permission at the disk location that the tool sits in?

thanks for trying to help me, it seems it was exactly that, I did not have writing permission in my HOME. Thanks!

I tried to provide writing permission and it still did not work. Any ideas why?
