I used to work on mapping gene_ids, gene symbols and gene aliases of human samples , for which I generally use https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/refseq/H_sapiens/Homo_sapiens.gene_info.gz. This gene_info file provides information on genes and their gene description, aliases/synonyms.

Is there a similar gene annotation resource for Rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta) ? where I can get gene symbols and their Synonyms ?
