Need help regarding meta-analysis with metafor package

Hi there!!!

I am trying to do a meta-analysis with 5 datasets with metafor package. I want to get an image like the following where different legends are used for different studies and bacteria names are checked for control/test enriched group. I want to generate same image. This forest plot (figure b) has been generated with metafor:

enter image description here

But, in every tutorial/documentation regarding meta-analysis with metafor, I am seeing the datasets are placed horizontally producing forest plot like this:

enter image description here

Can you please tell me how can I get the desired plot? How should the input file for metafor be to get the desired output image? Please check this link to see the format of the table for each of the datasets to be tested. I am also trying to paste the same here as well:

Hello dpc!

It appears that your post has been cross-posted to another site: https://bioinformatics.stackexchange.com/questions/15116/need-help-regarding-meta-analysis-with-metafor-package

This is typically not recommended as it runs the risk of annoying people in both communities. What you're doing - posting the same question in multiple forums within a short time period just because you want answers faster - is highly frowned upon. Given the degree of overlap in the communities' user base, you're essentially asking the same people to invest effort twice. Don't do that - it will only make people ignore you in both places.
