Looking for the difference between Features and Counts

I am a novice bioinformation, and doing some single cell analysis on Seurat. Im just getting confused as to the what "counts" are and what "features" are. I had thought features related to genes, and counts related to the transcripts, multiple of which can make up a gene or "feature"? Or have I gotten them mixed up?
