Hello everybody!

I am a Russian student, I think in the future to do biomedical research. In this regard, the question is well-known to everyone: in which Russian universities (with the exception of Moscow State University), can one get a worthy education in this area with the prospect of doing science? And in what laboratories or companies then work?

Out of the top of my head

StP: ITMO, StP State University

Moscow: MSU Bioengineering and Bioinformatics, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Skolkovo, PhysTech (Dolgoprudniy)

Kazan: Kazan Federal University

Novosibirsk: State University

StP & Moscow Bioinformatics Institute to study on weekends.

Labs & Companies set is hugely dependent on your specialization. Biocad for proteomics, multiple good options for genomics, immunology - IBKh RAS

SPAdes assembler is from Algorithmic Biology Laboratory Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg Academic University. Can't be that bad..

not Academic University anymore - now they moved to StP State University. But they are really good. Was listening to one of their reports yesterday - very impressive work.
