I'm new in this bioinformatic approach to study microbial communities living in the gut. Because that, I'm looking for good open resources to learn machine learning (ML) and its applications for this purpose.

It will be great if you can help me with that, either ML for studying gut microbiota in specific or ML fundamentals, like mathematics and statistics most used in bioinformatics in general.
