Number of records per taxid in the local blastdb
Hi, is there a way of retrieving the number of total records for a given taxid in the local blastdb? I was doing the following to output the record to text file and counting the number of lines in that file. But its definitely not giving me the complete set of records blastdbcmd -taxids taxid -db nt -outfmt '%g %a %t' -out output.txt

Can you post an example taxID? Some sequences may be listed under a higher taxID than the level you are looking at.
