Position Description:

The project manager applies knowledge and skills as an experienced technical project management professional, with a full understanding of project management frameworks and methods, to ensure that project deliverables are met on schedule and within budget. The incumbent works closely with program managers, principal investigators, and administrative staff from the Genomics Institute and external partner institutions to coordinate project activities and ensure comprehensive and clear communication between collaborators. The project manager supervises technical staff to develop and maintain bioinformatics tools. They provide direction to staff according to established policies and management guidance, administer policies that affect subordinate staff, identify risks and respond accordingly, communicate priorities to their team, and analyze and adjust workflow for optimal performance.
