Hello. I need to do two docking in autodock 4. The first one is soft docking and the second is re-docking without the smooth potential. I want to ask you how could I turn on/off the smooth factor in AutoDockTool interface?
You have already asked the question here. I guess my answer shows that asking it twice does improve the likelihood of a reply, even though it shouldn't
AFAIK, smoothing factor is a number in a 0-1 range, so most numbers in this range mean that it is turned on. AutoDock4 is optimized to work with the default value of 0.5, but it is safe to assume that one of the two extreme values is the off switch.
The best way to have this sorted out is to ask the program authors directly, or go through documentation and their papers.
