Purines and pyrimidines in frame shift mutations

Hi,

I have recently identified some frameshift mutations in my gene of interest during the pan-genome study. I am curious that is there any study which mentions the occurrence of more frameshifts mutations in multiple purine sequence as compared to multiple pyrimidine sequences. For example: frameshifts will occur more in the sequence with a higher number of poly-adenine or poly-guanine homopolymers repeats as compared to poly-thymine or poly-Cytosine.

Sequencing errors are common in homopolymers. If I see a FS in a homopolymer, my first check is the raw sequencing data.
