Gene-based regression association: interpretation of results

Hi I am trying to find associations between aminoacid substitutions in peptids (i.e. SNP allele variants) and quantitative traits. I use SNPassoc R-package.

I got the associations between a substitution (variants DD, DE, EE) and two traits with p-value less 0.05.

Trait 1:
n me se dif lower upper p-value AIC
Codominant
D/D 68 4.533 0.2198 0.000 0.00695 390.4
D/E 4 6.575 0.4314 2.042 0.1038 3.980
E/E 21 5.838 0.5120 1.305 0.3641 2.245

and

Trait 2:
n me se dif lower upper p-value AIC
Codominant
D/D 68 10.13 0.3537 0.00 0.01596 473.9
D/E 4 12.50 0.8871 2.37 -0.6666 5.406
E/E 21 12.14 0.7504 2.01 0.5367 3.483

I hesitate to state the significance of these differences because SEs of both traits for E/E and D/E are twice as for D/D. This can be seen by plotting data. Am I right or these relations can be described and speculated in an article? Thanks.
