Linear motifs provided in Perseus

Hey,

so Perseus (a companion tool to MaxQuant) comes with a linear motifs file (conf/motifs.txt) that contains lines like this:

Akt kinase substrate motif "R,X,R,X,X" ST FL

LKB1 kinase substrate motif "L,R" T

....

I was wondering if anyone has any idea what their motif table is based on or what the obvious central DB / online resource for this kind of data is (ELM ?). I tried their Google Group but have not gotten an answer there.

Since it is delivered with Perseus and not something you download yourself like e.g. PSP data I just wanna make sure I know what I am dealing with in terms of annotation.

cheers
