MatrixEQTL: Pre-processing steps
For identifying cis-eQTL with a linear model, using matrixEQTL, I am assuming it is normal to pre-process the expression data by log-transforming, normalizing, background correction, and outlier removal.
I am reviewing some code and noticed it wasn't log-transformed, which is why I am asking this question (Not even sure if that would make a difference).
