Amazon EC2 and S3 newbie setup question

HI,

I 'be been trying to setup a RNASeq analysis pipeline using Amazon EC2 AWS and S3 storage, and have a question as to how to connect and save an analysis output/result in S3. Also, is it possible to save all the complied analysis tools (EC2 images() in E3 so that I don't have to recompile them every time I start E2 ?

I googled anything related to my question but have not found anything helpful. I'd really appreciate any pointers to this.

Thanks in advance.
