Want to get advice on some trans-eQTL result

Hi,

I am performing both cis and trans eQTL for two genes of interest (we have profiled two specific genes of interest using qRT-PCR). Anyway, using Matrix-eQTL tool, I have tried to find both cis and trans eQTLs. Interestingly, whereas there are NO significant eQTL for both genes, there were many trans-eQTLs of significance (FDR). I tried to look into the detailed distribution of gene expression, and realized the distribution is like the attached picture:

Given that there were only two subjects (among 94 subjects) that have ALT/ALT, I am wondering if the result from this analysis is still valid or not..

Please advise me.

Hi namkungho87, unfortunately the google drive link caused some malformatting in your post that cannot be edited (a known flaw in Biostars when iframes are used in the post; my fault when I edited the post trying to properly embed the picture, sorry for that). Could you please open a new question with the same content while following How to add images to a Biostars post. Essentially, you should upload the picture to an image hoster, e.g. Imgur, and then use the Image button (the one right of the code option 10101) to embed the picture using the full link to the image (with the suffix e.g. .png as described in the linked tutorial). Once the new question is up, I will delete this one here. Sorry for the inconvenience.
