dbVar Unique ID for varients

I have gene name and variant name extracted from pubmed abstract using NCBI tmVar tool.

For example HADHB and c|DEL|1109+243_1438-703|.

Now I want to link this variant to corresponding details available in databases like dbVar/dbSNP.

What is the standard way of linking the variants to public databases, programmatically using Python.
