HiC Compartment changing

In Hi-C (and HiCap) analyses you can compute A / B compartment switching (see for instance "Downstream PC1 analysis" in Homer). I'm wondering if anyone has ever tested compartment "changes" that do not involve switching? Say, PC1 becoming more positive.
