Just looking for some good references on amino acids with some totals to give me a idea of the big picture
How many amino acids are formed by DNA (19,20,21,22,23) need list with proline (although its NOT one) How many amino acids exist in nature (approx number with a good reference link) How many amino acids have been found in life (approx number with good reference link) How many amino acids have been found in human proteins (approx number with good reference link)
Also, if possible as proline is not an amino acids but its in all the lists, are their other DNA combinations (3 char goups) that are considered important or possibly important and are common in human proteins.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, already spent a good amount of hours trying to find good sources, so if you can even give me 1 or 2 of the answers that's great!
Tom

Hello tomlaheyh!
We believe that this post does not fit the main topic of this site.
Hi tomlaheyh, this reads like a homework question and is also not bioinformatics-related. You should find answers to these basic biology questions yourself. You can find this in any good undergrad textbook in chapters that deal with basics of amino acids and proteins/translation.
For this reason we have closed your question. This allows us to keep the site focused on the topics that the community can help with.
If you disagree please tell us why in a reply below, we'll be happy to talk about it.
Cheers!
Sorry to hear that this is closed. I have found many difference answers and you can find books that just list the 20, and some that list 20 plus 2, and there is N-formylmethionine etc. So I was just looking for a clear link\answer. As this group is here to help and in theory it should be a very simple answer, giving it to someone struggling to find it was somewhat expected.
