stand-alone pre-miRNA prediction packages
Hi, after a while searching and investigation, I couldn't found a user-friendly available package for pre-miRNA prediction or classification, although large number of this kind of packages have been published since 2003. The following packages have been tested failed.
- Triplet-SVM: Need contact the author for download. No response from the author.
- miPred: could be downloaded from this link , but without documentation on how to predict customized sequences.
- microPred: could be downloaded from this link. but failed testing with problem (./miPred/ViennaRNA-1.6.4/Perl/blib/arch/auto/RNA/RNA.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr)
- MiRenSVM: Still waiting for the author's sending the package.

There are also several web-server for pre-miRNA identification, but all limit the number of uploaded sequences, at most 50 sequences.
Could anyone recommend an available and user-friendly package for pre-miRNA classification?
