The evidence of the gene annotation

I am working in annotation project How could I make a evidences for the annotation . is it from the domain that show in mRNA blastx Or from the protein sequences that coming from mRNA by ORF finder

According to me, both can work as evidence. But in the case of blastx result, those are only annotated sequences which you consider, on the other hand latter gives you a complete set of proteins.
