How would I do a rank sum glycolytic score from tcga data?
I am trying to create a graph similar to this:
The graph showing:
a comparison of glycolytic gene expression score between 2 different cancer phenotypes. Each tumor being assigned a rank for each glycolytic gene within the set of analyzed tumors. Summation of hte gene ranks was performed to generate the glycolytic expression score each patient.
I have mrna-seq data for patients separated by phenotype for a list of glycolytic genes, now I am not sure how to proceed with ranking these patients.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
