What does BLAST command line - gilist option refer to?

describes the phasing out of GI numbers two years ago. Has BLAST caught up with that, but they haven't renamed the flag in blastn/t command line tools?

I think the short answer to the question as posed is ‘yes’.

As far as I can remember the flag will work with accessions etc in the usual manner. They may have elected not to change it in order to cause minimal disruption to existing pipelines.

Someone else may know better than me though.
