Protein data representation in neural network
Hello, this may sound like a dumb question. I'm trying to predict protein function using the neural network in MATLAB. The question is, what is the data representation of protein should I use for input and output?

There are no such things as dumb questions. But your question needs, however, more information. What is it exactly what you want to do? Predict protein function? Based on what? On protein sequences homology? Better approach would be blast in that case, but I might have understood the question wrong, so please explain in more detail about your aims and approach.
I want to predict the function of ATP transmembrane domain in cystic fibrosis conductance regulator protein. I require to use neural network tools in Matlab. You can say, instead of using blast tools I required to use neural network.
