The Faryabi and Pear laboratories at the University of Pennsylvania are utilizing a systems biology approach to study the role of Notch signaling in oncogenic transformation. Positions are available for computational biologists to join our enthusiastic interdisciplinary team that is dissecting Notch transcriptional regulation and elucidates how this pathway reorganizes the tumor epigenome. We provide a rich multi-disciplinary training environment in genomics, epigenetics, cancer biology, and bioinformatics. We deploy cutting edge high-throughput chromatin conformation and single-cell transcriptomic and epigenomic assays, and interact closely with Penn's Epigenetic Institute, Abramson Cancer Center and Center for Personalized Medicine (https://goo.gl/2KHtfQ).

Candidates are required to hold a PhD. Expertise in machine learning and inference, programing in Python and R in a Unix environment is required for a potential candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in analyzing genome-wide chromatin conformation and ChIP-seq data sets.

Further information about our labs and our collaborations could be found at https://faryabib.github.io.

Interested applicants should submit a CV, a statement of research interests, and 3 reference letters to FaryabiPearLabs@gmail.com
