GeneMapper 4.XXX Online Activation

Hello Folks,

Before going any further with purchasing ABI GeneMapper 4.0 software, I just need to check with anyone familiar with it whether the software requires online activation or registration or not.

Plus, does anyone know what is the best software for human identification: ABI GeneMapper or SoftGenetics GeneMarker HID? and why?

You can add OSIRIS to your list of software. OSIRIS is a free, open source STR analysis and QC software available from NCBI: Download from the homepage: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/osiris/ OSIRIS is in use in forensic, CODIS, and clinical (engraftment testing) labs and is an NDIS-approved expert system. Windows and Mac versions.
