test of interaction

I want to compute the predicted effect to the observed effect in a mendelian randomization experiment. I computed the predicted effect size and standard error. Then I computed the observed effect size and standard error. I want to compute the test of interaction to compare these two. Is there an R command for that? Do I derive a p-value for that? Thanks
