Error in opening map file in PLINK

Hi,

I am trying to run PLINK. I have test.ped and test.map files. When I type the command, plink --file test, I get the error of "failed to open test.map". I am not sure, what could be the problem. My map file looks something like this:

1   rs2340582   0   882803
1   rs3748597   0   888659
1   rs6696609   0   903426
1   rs28695703  0   904355
1   rs6659460   0   918270
1   rs2341354   0   918573
1   rs6677131   0   920733
1   rs3845291   0   959155

Can you please advise what could be the issue here?

Hi, you have a greater chance of being helped if you post the whole error message. My hint is that plink cannot find the map file.
