SMRT Analysis installation problem - no smrtpipe.py

Hi, all

I've just finished installing SMRT analysis software in my local machine. I followed the installation manual provided by PacBio (http://programs.pacificbiosciences.com/e/1652/e-Installation--v4-0-0--v2-pdf/3rvmzg/507864561). There was no problem in the installation and I was able to access SMRT Link webpage and do a run with the test data. But I am not seeing any pyhthon modules in the bin folder to run in the command line. Do you guys have any idea why? Would I need to take some more steps to get there?

[smrtanalysis@localhost bin]$ pwd
/opt/smrtanalysis/smrtlink/admin/bin

[smrtanalysis@localhost bin]$ ls
dbbackup qsw services-start smrt_reinstall
import-barcodes qsw.py services-status smrt_reupgrade
import-canneddata runjmscmd services-stop smrtupdater
installprompter run-sat-local smrtlink-init
install_ssl_cert.sh run-sat-services smrt_reconfig

[smrtanalysis@localhost bin]$ locate smrtpipe.py

This returns nothing!

smrttools pacbio

What is the output of:

find /opt/smrtanalysis -name "smrtpipe.py"

Trying to read the manual you linked squelched any desires I had to work with PacBio software or data. Honestly, try contacting PacBio customer support, or you may post to SeqAnswers, I have the impression PacBio community is larger there. Are you a sys admin? If not, ask for help from your local sys admins as well.

Anyway, whoever you contact, describe in details the steps you have taken to install the pipeline, examine any install logs and report on them, state your operating system, and so on.
