A few years ago there was an attempt to create a new enhanced version of the DAS protocol to share genomic data, called DAS/2 (http://www.das2.org/). I know at least one implementation of a DAS/2 server (Genopub: some documentation here), with a flash based web interface, and IGB for instance can be used as a client.

Nevertheless, it doesn't seems to be any update or follow up. I'm wondering if anyone is still using it, either on the client or the server side, or has any feedback about it.
