biostars.org: Search capped to 50 hits?

Hello- A question on biostars.org itself to the developers.

It seems the search tool (https://www.biostars.org/local/search/page/) returns at most 50 hits (I tried by searching keywords like 'bwa' or 'samtools'). Is this by design? It would good if it could return all the hits or at least a count of all the hits.

Simplest solution is to use google with site:biostars.org appended to the keywords you are searching with.

Indeed. Thanks a lot. Still I think it would be nice to have the search tool here "fixed".

@Istvan: If I click on "Messages" it seems to show a variable number of results (with no way to keep going back in time). What is that display controlled by (messages from last x days or n number of messages)?

Don't mean to piggyback off this post but can you also sort by date? Seems neither classic nor the as-you-type search supports it ?
