About Bioinformatics PhD programs

Hello!

I am writing to ask your advice.

I am considering the following school’s Bioinformatics PhD programs:

UCSF Bioinformatics

UCLA Bioinformatics

UCSD Bioinformatics and Systems Biology

CMU Joint CMU-Pitt Computational Biology

I would like to get your advice on how to rank these four programs (in terms of relatively how good they are).

Also, what are their ranks in an overall ranking of Bioinformatics including other schools in U.S.?

The ranking depends less on school name and far more on the PI and the lab you are going to be working with.
